An exhibition offering a rare opportunity to appreciate the artistic sensibilities of many students — including works created by students with disabilities — was recently held.

Stray Point Art Academy (Director: Matthew Baek) held its second exhibition on December 7 under the theme Art Beyond Boundaries.

This exhibition featured creative works produced by students over the past year. It was divided into sections for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as adult students, so that viewers could enjoy a variety of perspectives and styles.

The first-floor gallery displayed over 200 works, including those created by students with disabilities. The exhibition space was thoughtfully arranged so visitors could enjoy the diversity and creativity of the works.

During the opening reception on December 7, Director Matthew Baek shared that many people came to see the works despite the rainy weather and expressed his gratitude for their support. He said the exhibition offered a chance to witness the remarkable creativity of the students and to support their artistic growth.

Operation Coordinator Bon Jin Koo also remarked that she was deeply moved to see so many attendees enjoying the works, and noted that the exhibition gave students with disabilities a valuable platform to share their creations with the public.

The event included performances by students with disabilities, which added to the festive atmosphere, as well as music that warmed the hearts of attendees. Visitors praised the high quality of the works and the diversity of artistic expression, and many commented that they left feeling inspired.

A musical performance by the EIS Praise Team, composed of individuals with disabilities, received enthusiastic applause. Representatives from TMD (Texas Maintenance Development) expressed their appreciation for the event and the Academy’s efforts to support artists with disabilities.

Stray Point Art Academy plans to continue holding exhibitions to give students — both with and without disabilities — a platform to showcase their work and connect with the community through art.
